Biography
Mose Toidze studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts and became a central educator in Georgian art, founding a private studio in Tbilisi that trained later generations. His work moved between portraits, genre scenes, and socially observed realism.
Toidze's long teaching career made him an institutional bridge between nineteenth-century academic training and the Georgian art schools that shaped the twentieth century.
